Ireland is a beautiful country with lush green foliage, friendly people, and a fair share of Irish pubs. Contrary to what some may believe, Ireland is a bustling country with many of the conveniences we have here in America. It's not just tending to a sheep herd as you see in so many pictures. As a matter of fact, they are as technologically advanced as we are. The people are well dressed and spend as much dining out as we would on Hilton Head.

The Irish people have a culturally different way of life. Besides their wonderfully musical accent, time and money have a vastly different meaning. Though business appointments are always prompt, social engagements or lunch hours are flexible. Lunch hours can extend to two hours! In Ireland it is not considered rude if an interesting conversation ensues along the way that makes your social engagement a little late. Money is not viewed with the same sense of urgency as in America. Hard work, health, good food and the company of good friends are what are most important.

Traditionally, the Irish ideal is being with friends and telling stories. Go to one of the local pubs and their great nature and generosity will pleasantly surprise you. The stories will entertain you for hours. As Oscar Wilde, a favorite son of Ireland, once pronounced "We're the greatest talkers since the Greeks".

The weather is very mild all year round. The extreme range of temperature is 16 to 75 degrees, with 60 being the average for summer and 40 in the winter. The average humidity generally hovers around 78%. In one day you can go through many seasons. It rains frequently or threatens to do so, but in a moment the sun may appear to brighten your day.

All of these things make Ireland a travel destination that can't be missed!
